The legendary Yangtze invites you to explore

If rivers could speak, China’s mighty Yangtze would tell some of civilization’s most intriguing tales. With three nights cruising the Yangtze, you’ll experience this river that has played such a central role in the history and economy of China. You’ll also enjoy three nights in Beijing with highlights that include visits to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace and its gardens. Plus you’ll head to Xian to view the renowned Terra Cotta army at the mausoleum of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.

Day 1 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, Overnight Shangri-la Kerry Center.

Day 2 Beijing
Visit the incredible Great Wall, spanning more than 4000 miles. Then, it’s on to the Summer Palace and its dazzling imperial gardens. Evening is at leisure. Overnight Shangri-la Kerry Center (Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 3 Beijing/Xian
Fly to Xian to see the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and their horses, one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Tonight is at leisure or enjoy dinner and a folkloric show at Tang Palace Theatre Restaurant on an optional tour. Overnight Sofitel Xian Hotel (Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 4 Xian/Chongqing/Sail
A tour of Xian features visits to the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After lunch, you’ll fly to Chongqing where you’ll stop at a zoo to see panda’s before boarding a ship for your enthralling Yangtze River cruise. Enjoy dinner onboard. Overnight on Victoria ship or similar (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 5 Yangtze River Cruising
Enjoy scenic cruising along the Yangtze and explore the history and art of Wanxian or visit Fengdu, the “Ghost City”. Overnight Victoria ship or similar (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 6 Yangtze River Cruising
Sail through the Yangtze’s renowned gorges. An optional shore excursion is available to Three Gorges, or you can sail on Shennong Stream before cruising through the impressive Three Gorges ship locks. Overnight Victoria ship or similar (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 7 Yangtze River Cruising/Wuhan
This morning you’ll visit the spectacular Three Gorges Dam site. Lunch onboard before you disembark for your transfer to Wuhan. Dinner is at the hotel. Overnight Shangri-la Hotel (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 8 Wuhan/Beijing
Return on a morning flight for lunch at a Beijing restaurant, and a tour of the fascinating Temple of Heaven. Tonight you’ll be treated to a dinner with the remainder of your evening at leisure. Overnight Shangri-la Kerry Center (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 9 Beijing/Tianjin/Embark Ship
You’ll have another morning to see the landmarks of Beijing – the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Feast on a traditional Peking duck lunch at a local restaurant before boarding your motorcoach to Tianjin to set sail on your Asia cruise. (Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 9 – 25/28/32/33 Cruise
